SOFTWARE RELEASE NOTES                              UNIX-SPIRS v1.01

 The following is a list of helpful hints and known problems which may
 occur when installing and using SilverPlatter's UNIX-SPIRS ERL client
 software.  Technical Support has provided solutions where they are
 available.  We would like to hear feedback concerning reliability
 problems, suggestions about ease of use, and any comments that you may
 have about the UNIX-SPIRS ERL client software.



 RETRIEVING ERL CLIENT SOFTWARE
 ------------------------------

 UNIX-SPIRS is available for ftp from SilverPlatter's ftp server:
 ftp.silverplatter.com.

      ftp ftp.silverplatter.com
      login: anonymous
      password: your E-mail ID
      cd/software/erl-clients/unix

 Refer to the file install.txt for minimum requirements, installation
 instructions, and TERMINFO information.



 RECENT ENHANCEMENTS
 -------------------

 * You can now refresh the screen from anywhere in UNIX-SPIRS.  A new
   tag (24ScreenRedraw) has been added to the terminal configuration
   files. Refer to the file unixspirs.txt for help with configuring
   the keys for your terminal.

  

 FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS
 -------------------

 * Auxiliary Port printing will allow users to print through the
   terminal's Aux Port
 * Communications Protocol Support will allow users to download files
   using different communications protocols if they are not connected
   to the internet
